Does the name Matthew ‘Pritch’ Pritchard sound familiar? He used to co-star on MTV’s enormously successful stunt TV show Dirty Sanchez. Today Pritch, as he is commonly known, has undergone an incredible transformation, becoming a endurance athlete. He’s taken up many extreme challenges to raise awareness and money for a range causes. He has ran John O'Groats to Lands End (UK) in 30 days. Incredibly he’s also done 30 half Ironmans in 30 days. He loves running, swimming and cycling. Our founder, Prof. Neil Barron, invited him to our premises and challenged him to try to break our Litelok Gold bike lock.
We launched Litelok Gold on March 2015, running a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, raising over £232,000. This strong start helped us turn the idea into a reality. The funding was used for tooling, testing and production. Soon after fulfilling those orders to our Kickstarter backers, we launched our online shop, selling all over the world from our headquarters in Swansea. Our bike locks are used and trusted by a multitude of cyclists, from London to California. Litelok Gold has won many accolades including: K-Design Award in 2015; Best Cycling Innovation at the 2016 London Cycling Campaign awards; and Best Foldable Lock by Cycling Plus in 2017.
